My Dad and Me: Our Fathers Are Important Too
My heart lights up whenever I see a young Caribbean man holding the hand or lifting a child as they go about their day, whether it’s walking the child or children to or from school, ushering them in or out of a fast food restaurant, or simply trying to control an excited youngster in a supermarket aisle.
Unfortunately, the mundane day to day role of the good father is not frequently acknowledged, as it is often overshadowed by the headlines grabbing negative actions of those no-good men, many of whom behave like unpaid sperm donors or worse towards their children.
So as Father’s Day 2017 approaches, we at Express Vinci® invite you to share your “Good Fathers”stories. Send us a short article about a man you know who is making a positive impact on the lives of his children, whether biological or otherwise. The top five stories will be published throughout the month of June on our website.
