JESSE LINGARD IS A VINCY FOOTBALLER WHO PLAYS FOR MANCHESTER UNITED

Jesse Lingard, who struck in the 2-1 win over Leicester is Vincentian by descent, via his grandparents, Isolyn and Cyril George. They originated from the south-eastern village of Stubbs, on mainland St. Vincent; their son Roy George was born in England, he is Jesse’s father.

With this news, Vincentian fans of Man-U will have more to shout for when the team, under new manager Jose Mourinho, takes to the field in the Premier League competition this season.
Jesse’s recognition came for his memorable individual goal in the Community Shield against Leicester City on August 8th,2016. He gained 5081 of the votes which was 56 percent of votes cast in deciding the best goal for the month of August. The 24-year old’s performance beat Zlatan Ibrahimović into second place with 1194 votes, or 11 percent of votes cast.
